Description
Synonyms: Alexa Fluor 488-Tetrazine, Alexa Fluor 488 labeled Tetrazine
Click Bioprobe’s Tetrazine Alexa Fluor 488 combines an Alexa Fluor fluorescent dye with a tetrazine functional group for rapid bioorthogonal labeling applications in live-cell and fixed fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and biomolecule tracking. Tetrazine is a chemical compound containing a six-membered aromatic ring (C₂H₂N₄) and often used as a specialized chemical tag to track molecules in live cells. In click chemistry, tetrazine participates in an inverse electron-demand Diels-Alder (iEDDA) reaction, forming stable bonds with strained alkenes or alkynes like trans-cyclooctyne (TCO).
