Description
Alkyne-X-Maleimide is one of CBP’s alkyne-azide click chemistry reaction reagents that can be used to conjugate to proteins, peptides and other material surfaces bearing thiol/sulfhydryl groups. There is a medium length PEG linker between Alkyne and maleimide groups that offers better water solubility and sufficient space length between Maleimide and Alkyne groups. Maleimide reacts with thiol groups quickly and easily at neutral pH. Reaction between maleimide and thiol group results a stable thiol-ether bond. Meanwhile, Alkyne can react with azide group easily without need any copper catalyst.
