Description
DBCO-x-SMCC is one of CBP’s DBCO-azide click chemistry reaction reagents that can be used to conjugate to proteins, peptides and other material surfaces bearing thiol/sulfhydryl groups. SMCC is a cyclic maleimide with enhanced stability. There is a medium length PEG linker between DBCO and SMCC groups that offers better water solubility and sufficient space length between SMCC and DBCO groups. SMCC reacts with thiol groups quickly and easily at neutral pH. Reaction between SMCC and thiol group results a stable thiol-ether bond. Meanwhile, DBCO can react with azide group easily without need any copper catalyst.
