Description

DBCO-Benzaldehyde (DBCO-bnCHO) is one of CBP’s alkyne-azide click chemistry functional reagents that have a reactive aldehyde group (-CHO). Benzaldehyde has a reactive aldehyde group that can react with amine or hydrazide groups. Reaction between aldehyde and amine group forms a schiff base, further reduction with hydride results a stable amide bond. There is a medium length PEG linker between DBCO and Benzaldehyde  group that offers better water solubility and sufficient space length. Meanwhile, DBCO can react with azide group easily without need any copper catalyst.
